The Role of SEO in Modern Marketing

SEO is a very important factor when it comes to marketing in today's world, it's a critical component of any successful marketing strategy. SEO is the practice of optimizing your website and content to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs), making your brand more visible to potential customers.



When you search up a question on google like "Why does my head hurt", SEO plays the game and shows you the top results that google found was the most reliable, content-relevant and the speed of the site.


Why is SEO so important? First, it drives organic traffic, which is often the most valuable type of traffic because it comes from users actively searching for products or services like yours. Unlike paid ads, which stop generating leads when the budget runs out, the benefits of SEO can be long-lasting.


SEO is also a key player in building brand credibility. Websites that appear at the top of search results are often perceived as more trustworthy. By investing in SEO, you're positioning your brand as an authority in your industry, which can set you apart from competitors.


You might be wondering "How do I improve my SEO and make my website to the top of the search engine."


It's simple, trust me...


You either spend millions of dollars if you have cash laying around or you can use very relevant keywords that have low KD (keyword difficulty) and a high volume. To find relevant keywords, i would say the best tools would be Ahrefs or Semrush (I use Semrush).


This is the Semrush Keyword Magic Tool. I’ve highlighted the volume and KD (Keyword Difficulty) metrics because these are crucial for optimizing your site’s search engine ranking. When selecting keywords, aim for those with high search volume—this indicates that many people are searching for that term each month. At the same time, choose keywords with a low KD, meaning they are easier to rank for. By finding the right balance between these two factors, you can increase your chances of ranking at the top for that keyword!



Other ways to not spend a bunch of money to be at the top of the search engine is to get lots of backlinks!


What are backlinks?


Backlinks are links from other websites to yours. They act like endorsements, showing search engines that your content is trustworthy and valuable. The more quality backlinks you have, the higher your site can rank in search results.


How do I get backlinks?


There is a million ways, unethical and ethical (I don't recommend the unethical ways). Most people get backlinks from guests posts, creating high quality infographics, content, that makes other want to share it, and it goes on.


One way that has always worked for me is reaching out to small businesses and ask them for a backlink exchange, you link their site in the alt text or behind the images where it's not seen or you can even link their site where it's seen. It's that simple.
